Ah, I've been through Detroit a few times, and I spent a few days there in middle school. Some parts of the city are nice, fun, interesting places. Other parts aren't so pleasant. I don't know anything about nearby areas, though.Originally Posted by Maciavellism
Bah, I like Michigan's weather. But then again, I love snow. And here in the upper peninsula (Newberry, Michigan, about an hour from Sault, Canada; for all you internet serial killers that are inevitably prowling the board for your next vicitim) you get plenty of it, and can actually make use of it. And the summers are more than hot enough for me, too. On the hot days, it's only an hour drive to lake Michigan, and a much shorter drive to any of several local lakes.
A lot of people don't like snow/Michigan's weather, though. I can definitely understand that.
