    Default Dear Friends

I was lucky enough to attend the first show of the tour with my girlfriend (posts as Dragonflylex).

Let me say how awesome it was. I went into the show with very high expectations, and I was still blown away. There were 4,400 of us in the concert hall, but we managed to be louder than any arena filled rock concert I have ever been to. For example, the crowd went crazy when Nobuo Uematsu came out (he talked to the crowd a bit after the concert was over with a translator).

Anyway, here is the song list:

    Liberi Fitali (FFVIII)
    Zanarkand (FFX)
    Terra's Theme (FFVI)
    Theme Of Love (FFIV)
    Dear Friends (FFV)
    Vamo' Alla Flamenco (FFIX)
    Love Grows (FFVIII)

    INTERMISSION

    Aeris's Theme (FFVII)
    Not Alone (FFIX)
    Ronfaure (FFXI)
Final Fantasy I-III Melody (overworld map theme from FFI, Chocobo theme, among others)
New Melody from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
Final Fantasy (you know, the theme played when the credits roll by when you cross the bridge in the first Final Fantasy)

Nobuo Uematsu speaks for a bit...says that he will probably do a US tour with the Black Mages among other things/questions!

    Encore: One Winged Angel (FFVII)

Once again, the crowd really got into it. The energy there was INSANE. I hope some of you guys go to it when it comes to a city near you (and if you were there tonight, awesome)!

Did Uematsu make anyone's head explode with his mind?

Nice. I knew at least one person from here would have been there, since my girlfriend and I saw that there were so many different people from so many places there.

We were in the corner seats at the front row in section 207 row H (the top balcony seats).

    I envy all you Americans!

Something like this would happen in my country in a million years. It's just not fair! Well, I guess I could always try to imagine being there...

The next Cali concert is in San Francisco. I would love to go to it, but I spent my $$ going to the Chicago performance ... my friend and I drove down from River Falls, WI to see it, and it was totally worth it! I'm hoping the tour will come to Mpls./St.Paul so it will be possible to see it again..

You were VERY close to my girlfriend and I. We were seated in section 207 row H (front row on top balcony). During the intermission, I was the only person standing up against the railing most of the time. I was wearing all black.

Section 210, Row E, Seat 9. I guess I was in the general vicinity as well.

In any case, that concert was amazing. Words cannot do it justice.
