I heard in 5 you fight jins great grandfather (kazuyas grandfather( hehachis father) Jinpachi mishima but I dont think you can play as him
Yeah, I think he's like the final boss or something.
The only thing I dislike about the Tekken story is that it seems the only people that have really died in the storyline and haven't come back in sequels was the original King and Jun. Jun was my favorite character in Tekken 2 and there wasn't anyone to really replace her until Tekken 5, where some other girl named Asuka plays like her a bit.

He is dead, thats haihatchis father. And seeing as haihatchi was 80 years old Im not sure how his fathers so... alive.
Im sure you can just avoid him during the round and wait for arthiritis to set in.

HIs father was in some kind of isolation that I guess kept him alive and after Heihachi was killed by the Jack5 assault, whatever bound him was destroyed too...or from what I know

he might be something of an unlockable/extra/do something insane to unlock him like a 53 hit combo, but i know he won't be a regular character on there. GO to the link and read what it says on Heihachi
(And I would just like to say that they must have just added him in, which I don't know why. The game was smooth until they brought him back)
