to clarify, I was looking for characters that are playable in any Final Fantasy game that make any sort of appearance at all in one of the kingdom Hearts games. There are no playable FF characters in Kingdom Hearts. The FF characters are NPCs. Those characters are: Leon/Squall, Yuffie, Aerith, Cid, Cloud, Sephiroth, Selphie, Tidus and Wakka.

From the screenshots, it looks like it definitely won't be like the usual Final Fantasy RPG. It looks kind of like Devil May Cry, but I'm hoping it will have more of a storyline to it. So I guess I hope it'll be an action-RPG of sorts, with a great story and an entertaining battle system. It will be a good game because of the story they will put to it and because it's focused on Vincent, who was a pretty neat character, despite the fact that I never got that waterfall subquest to work.
