Only one boss has really stopped me and made me take a few tries at it... it was none other then carry armor.... he had a habbit of killing off my lowest hp character in the first 3 or 4 turns and then picking up both my others before I could raise the 3rd or anything... even if my bars were full. Anyways it took me a while till I got lucky and it picked on cloud rather then Yuffie(cloud had more hp thus giving me enough time to take out an arm)

MK was tricky... the first time on him he took out a good chunk of my hp and had me on the ropes for a bit... but I still beat him... the gate thing you are talking about feel with such ease it wasn't funny...... the dragon before it gave me more trouble then it.

STILL Updating the anime list. . . I didn't think I was that much of an anime freak! I don't even want to consider updating the manga list!

Oh yeah, I totally forgot about Red Dragon. He was, actually, more difficult.

Anyway I remember that boss annoyed me... cos' he picked people up and sucked up their HP and wouldn't put them down. Anyone know what I'm talking about? ...Or maybe I'm on another game here...

Only problem I had with the Materia Keeper was that I had Vincent in my party with his very first limit break (Gigas or something) and the MK absorbs fire....Damn that was bad, He transforms abd Heals the monster after I damage it!!

How to beat Ruby Weapon the enjoyable and correct way: Remove all your materias, get 99 X-potions, some hero drinks, as many elexirs you're able to get and 99 Dazers. You'll fight Ruby Weapon with Yuffie (you should have her ultimate weapon) so make sure she have good equipment and also put "sadness" on her. Cast stop on Ruby Weapon with the dazers, make yuffie stronger with the hero drinks and heal with the X-potions and the elexirs. This battle may take a few hours and if you missuse as much as 1 second you may get Game Over.

How to beat Ruby Weapon the boring and wrong way: Equip KotR linked to HP absorb and have both W-Summon and Mime equiped. Use Hades to cast stop on Ruby Weapon and then W-Summon KotR and mime it over and over again until Ruby goes down.

I would agree with the Demon's Gate and Materia Keeper assertions - but one that had me stumped not so long ago (and considering I've been playing 7 for years and no longer have problems with either of the latter) was the bird/falcon boss you fight in the Wutai side-quest. Anyone remember that one?

If you're unready, he has a wind attack (Aero I think) that takes about 2000-3000 off and poisons you. The git.
Mixed metaphors? I don't, it makes me vomit.

Carry Armour I'd say. If it catches you unawares it's rather hard not to lose. Materia Keeper takes a bit of a beating too.

Would you be referring to Don Corneo's pet, Rapps (or some similar spelling? Apps was the monster in the sewer after your first meeting with Corneo, I think). I remember him; Barret's Mindblow limit break - assuming it's powered up beforehand, and you can use it at the start of the battle - takes care of that problem.

Otherwise, if your party has just the right amount of HP, in general, the attack can result in 3 limit breaks.
