Hardest boss

Ruby and Emerald can be tough, but they just take a lot of preparation to be able to beat.

And I always get more irritated by Ruby. Emerald has more HP, but you can't just start up the battle with a fully healed and prepared party against Ruby. That, and the fact that he likes to counter Knights of the Round and break your rythm makes him a tougher opponent, I think.

Try equipping (Phoenix)-(Final Attack). That should take care of that 9999-all attack. At least until you run out of stars.

ami i the only one who didnt find demon gate hard? the hardest boss for me by a longshot was safer sephiroth that took me about 5-7 trys was very fun

For some reason, Demon's Gate was sooooooooo hard my first playthrough...now it's so, so easy. O_o

Umm, since apparently we're only talking about manditory bosses, I'd have to say (SPOILER)Hojo's third form...it's just so annoying when he hits you over and over and he does every damn status effect on you.

Emerald have no 9999-all attack. Like people have already said, it just depends on the amount of Materia equipped.

the Materia Keeper (Mt. Nibel) and Demon's Gate (Temple of the Ancients) were certainly the two bosses that gave me the most grief

Yes my response is a joke. The true toughest boss I've EVER faced is Ruby Weapon. I simply hate him. Any other boss is a piece of cake! (Emerald is a joke but tough still)

Ruby is a really difficult and annoying boss Emerald is slightly easier because he doesnt kill 2 ppl at the start of battle and prevent your escape

i fought emerald with about 4-5 materia per person and he still took 9999............I give up im obviously not good enough even though ive had this game ever since it came out and done everything else oh well
