I'm a pretty fast typer, I guess, but I still make too many mistakes. I also don't quite type correctly, so I end up using my strong fingers a lot more.

Around Christmas, I tried out the Dvorak keyboard layout, which is designed to allow faster and easier typing, but my family kept using the old keyboard, and I got lazy and stopped putting it back. Ah well.

IM definitely did help my typing speed, though, as it rather demands it if the other person is a decent typer .
