Forwarding and gmail

So after figuring my email address forwading was pooched, I discovered that gmail automatically discards any messages sent from that gmail account to another email account that forwards to it. You can send yourself email, but only directly through the gmail account, and not through a forwarder.

Anybody know of a way to change this? Fortunately I was able to determine that my email forwarding is functioning by setting up a forward to a second gmail account, but it gives a false sense of something being buggered up.

Gmail also doesn't take forwards... o_0 I set my forward from something{@}tifa.net to my gmail account, but whenever I sent to my tifanet address it never gets to my gmail account. It's evil.

Try sending a test message to your forwarded address from any email account other than your gmail account. It'll get there.

Register a hotmail account if you have to.
