I was watching Lorraine Kelly on the tele this morning and she had Paul McCartney's missus, Heather Mills-McCartney on the show, live from Belgium.

"Now what issue of graveness would she be wanting to stamp out of the world today?" I asked myself.

Well I was surprised to learn that a lot of fake fur, isn't actually fake. In China, and some parts of Belgium, allegedly, DNA testing has revealed that a lot of fake fur is actually that of stray cats and dogs. So yes, that fake minx fur coat you own may well be minx, but could just as easily be 100% Fido.

Glad I don't own any fur, fake or otherwise. It wouldn't suit me anyway.

Sure it is. You need a factory to make synthetic fur. All you need for real fake fur is a few stray animals and a knife. (sorry to be blunt...)

He's right. Polyester compounds to make fake furs still requires REAL oil, which is in itself not cheap. Couple that with factories and shipping and energy.... it really would be far cheaper simply pick up strays. And the fur would be more comfortable as well. Easier to work. Personally, I think everyone should be allowed to just go around naked... it'd certainly make life more interesting.

Nah. Once the thrill of seeing naked people was gone, then it'd probably make life a lot more boring.

Plus, it'd be easier to get hurt when you're jumping a barbed wire fence or something.

Not to mention that the point of furs is that they are extremely comfortable for extremely cold weather. I don't think that there should be a big deal about killing animals for fur to warm ourselves with. I mean, it works really well.
I think that I'd rather have somebody whack a minx for a coat than murder some stray dog though. I mean, the strays have enough problems not to be getting turned into coats. The wild animals (Those bastards) just goof off all the time and live a carefree life that I, as a human, can never achieve.

Maybe I'm just jealous. But I'm on my way to start hacking up hog carcvasses either way. HAHAHA!

I think that is really cruel. It's horrible. But then again, I dont mind mink fur. Yet it's the same thing. Oh. Wait. for rabbit and minks, they get trapped and killed fast, right? So what they are doing to the dogs is unusually cruel. They shpould at least do it in a humane way.

Easy for YOU to say- you're a catboy. But when we get around to genetic engineering ourselves like that- I'm putting in for claws, better sences, and other cool powers. Warm fuzzy hair will be close to last on my list of things I want.
