i dunno if everyones heard of this...its in the UK (just gone, was on friday) and a load of comedians get together and raise money from being funny!
plus we all get to wear a red nose all day!
its all to a good cause. the money raised this years is going to the Sudan and areas effected by the tsunami.
what did you do?
i didn;t do anything and i feel quite bad about it. i'm going to do something wappy next year. i have to!
does anyone else do and fund raising? what for?
do you liek the idea of giving money to people you'll never meet? i think that more people should!
the third world countries need our help. we cannot sit by and watch the horrors continue

There used to be a Red Nose Day in my country (New Zealand), where everyone bought and wore red noses to raise money for research into Cot Death (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, some call it).
I think the last Red Nose Day we had was in the early to mid 1990s.

I remember red nose day. I never knew what it was for but I loved wearing that retarded nose that dug into my skin and seeing those whacked out noses on the front of cars. Then it just disappeared one day.

I really can't stand the Comic Relief TV show. 7 or so hours of unfunny comedians trying to be funny interspersed with footage of dying people in Africa. No thank you. Still, I bought a red nose for the whole charity aspect, but I'd rather not watch the TV special.

Yay! Red Nose Day! We used to do a bake sale in England to raise money for cancer or lukemia, but no one celebrates it here in the states.

It's not "pure racism" to not give money to charity, though. I hardly give any money to charity, and I'm certainly not a racist. I don't think "Oh, people who are from other ethnic backgrounds from mine might receive benefits from this, I think I won't bother!" and I doubt anyone else who doesn't give money to charity does that either. Besides, why are you chastising them for not donating? Their money is their own personal property with which they can do whatever they see fit. Perhaps that is selfish, but where do you draw the line? Should everyone with a car should sell it for charity? Perhaps we could all sell our computers for charity. Money is no different from personal property, and people should be allowed to do whatever they choose with it without being criticised.
