Serious Question that deserves a Serious Answer.

Can there be a closed, stickied thread, maybe in this forum, that the staff can use to post all the banned members, and maybe have another thread opened for all members to discuss about the banned members? That way, all discussions about banned members will stick to one thread, while the closed thread will be updated with who was banned and for what reason that person got banned.

I'll provide an example how this could work.

Closed thread:
Del Murder: "dr_unne_is_gay is banned for being a troll and second account of a previously banned member. To discuss this ban and others, please refer to the open thread about banned members."

Open thread:
Spaceman Spiff: "How could they ban dr_unne_is_gay? Oh, that name is funny. :goomba:"
Doomgaze: "Best banned name ever."
ShlupQuack: "Shut up all of you before I summon the pink forum again! :fpdev:"

You see where this is going?

How about it? I think it's a great idea for everyone to discuss/whine/bitch about who got banned, and that way everyone will know why some people got banned without going, "why the hell did this person get banned?" if they posted porn, the post with the porn got removed, and all signs of the porn was not known at the time of finding out.

I think it's a horrible idea. The reason FG had(or has, as far as I know) so much trouble with banned members is that they won't freakin' let them go. After every troll is banned, they(FG staff) feel the need to justify their actions through, at the very least, an announcement, and at the very most a whole thread(s) discussing the facts that led up to the decision to ban.

Banned is banned. If anybody cares, they can ask a staff member, or post in Feedback.

If we "name and shame" every banned member, it'll just make EoFF look vengeful and elitist and, frankly, not very friendly at all.
Being forced to ban someone isn't very nice; it's best if the matter can just be laid to rest as soon as possible afterward.

Even worse would be allowing open threads for people to bad-mouth a banned member behind their back.

*Numerous, as in "countable by a number." The number in this case, I believe, is 2. But 2 is still a number and therefore we have banned one another on numerous occasions
