You could in theory go to the monster areana and go up against a flan thats powers are nulified by your armor and let the other character run away and let Rikku and Yuna go at it.

Realistically, it comes down to how they are built up on the Sphere Grid. Assuming that they both have maxed stats and equal equipment, it would be a stalemate (as long as you fight intellegently). If you use their Celestial Weapons, Yuna has the advantage because of One MP Cost. She can cast practically limitless spells (including Auto-Life), while Rikku's MP is much more severly limited. But, then again, Rikku can Mix items to get Zero MP Cost, which would give her the advantage over Yuna. Of course, Yuna could then Grand Summon the Magus Sisters and perform double Overdrives. But Rikku can also get some other very helpful moves from Mix... You could go on like this forever.

just for the record, terra*aeris, if both of their sphere grids they'd have the same speed, so it kinda depends on their ultimate weapon, besides auron will just come in and kick both of their ass's.

Actually, no. They all have individual stats that they begin with. They don't just start with zero. I have both finished and Rikku is faster because of her original stats.
rikku will win if yuna wil not use her aeons cause then yuna is pretty defence less but is would do it so godhand and genji trage with break HP limit auto haste,auto protect and ribbon.then rikku would be undefeated by yuna even if yuna had the same equipment yuna would still not be as fast as rikku is.
