But the black belt will eventually exceed the fighter in the NES version to, it just takes longer and you never usually reach that point, however in the DoS version, you don't really even have to try and he exceeds the fighter.

But either way, I like the black belt for the fact that he is cheap and can carry the extra weapons.

Well, can you give me a clue as to what makes the Black Belt better in DoS?

Does his armor get better? Does he get some cool evade? Is this "carrying extra weapons" significant?

Because more damage still doesn't seem cool enough to make it the "best" character (Which is my reasoning for why so few people mentioned the black belt or monk or whatever), even if the "Monk" suddenly doesn't suck.
