Why is every one changing their sig.s??

You know, banners probably won't change anyone's mind on how to vote this election. It works similarly in real life elections.

Not necessarily. If you think about it, the reason why advertising for all products occurs is to climb into the subconscious mind of everyone. Say for example if there was a washing up powder called Samuraid, when you need some and go to the washing up powder aisle of the store, you'll think "Ah, Samuraid, I've heard of that" and go for it.

Analysts believe the same thing - brand recognition - works in politics, in particular in the USA (due to the large amounts of money spent on advertising). Brand recognition could also explain why incumbent candidates win like, 90% of the time in US elections.

But eh, I have this in my sig as I'm BAoTW and proud! Or something.

I had my #eoff sig, but on Texas Independence Day (March 2nd), I became obligated to change my sig/av to a Texas flag. I enjoy it, so I think I'll keep this one for awhile until I change back to my uber-awesome doghouse sig.

I've not changed mine in a couple of years. I also have them disabled, so I never see it and think of putting something there, or notice other people's changes.
