I think programming the microphone would prove a much bigger hurdle than the touch screen.

    Precisely.

I'm sure in no time someone will emulate it. It'll probably take them awhile to get it worth a crap though (I've yet to find a Saturn emulator worth a crap).

I suppose that if you used the mouse button for the touch srceen, where as long as you hold down the mouse button it acts on the screen, it would work. The microphone wouldn't be hard either. Just program it to use a microphone. Everythign else should be pretty easy.

Just program it to use a microphone
The problem with that is that not everyone has a microphone

But, it's not like you need a microphone for all the games. It's just a little extra thing you have to buy if you wanna use games with the mike.

There are emulators out there... most of which are for guys that want to learn how to develope for the DS. and its not too hard to dump the files on the DS cartriges... just have to make a little device to link it to the computer... serveral guys have done it already.

Read stuff on that site/linked from that site ^_^ lots of good info on the DS, including its secret abilities. xD
There are like 3 different emulators I beleive... although one was wrongfully leaked from someone and isn't a finished version.
Each emulator has its things, its not too hard to emulate the graphics of the DS. What is hard to do it get an interface to make the touch screen work, but they've done that.
Mainly, these emulators are for people that want to develope games on the DS. Therefore, homebrew games work best on them.

Yeah, I just found a DS emulator. That didn't take long.

EDIT: And as suspected, the mouse is used for the touch screen.
