The top four would have to be:

1.VIII-Because of Quistis,the juctioning system and the great graphics,music and story.
2.VI-Because of Celes,Terra,Shadow,Kefka,the amazing story and music.
3.IX-Because of vivi,dagger,the great music,story and gamplay.
4.IIj-Because of Maria,the good music(for its time)and the gamplay is fun.

Agreed. ti is classic, who doesn't like Kefka? It is the best. But FFt, I loved the story line, and the Leviathan summon.

I think they all ahve something special to them that makes them good, and shouldn't really be compared like this because they're all good in their own light. So I will not choose any to be better than the others, even though I did enjoy some more than others, they are all great RPGs

But NOBODY has even MENTIONED FFIV. So I'll go with that. Great story, great characters, great music. Revolutionary. IV and VI are the greatest Final Fantasy games, by far.

For game play, I really enjoy playing through FFX-2 because you can just completely skip the story and go for the fun stuff cause of the skip scene option. Other wise, my top five would be...
#1: FFIX
#2: FFVI
#3: FFIV
#4: FFVIII
#5: FFVII

I don' think that ffx is getting the credit it deserves. It has the most character custamization and, IMO the most memorable characters and story.

Honestly, FFX doesn't get my vote because the two main characters annoyed me to no end. It was mostly memorable to a lot because it had the voices and graphics. A lot of people will say that FFVII and FFVI were the most memorable because of their story lines and characters. And actually, FFVII and FFVIII both had A LOT of character customization. Probably even more so than FFX because it didn't take forever to get them where you wanted. I'm not trying to argue with you or anything (since it's your opinion and if you liked FFX best, good for you!), just saying why I didn't pick it. Some people didn't think that the characters were annoying like I did. I don't think that FFIV is getting the credit it deserves. I mean, Rydia alone made it great! Not to mention all of the other characters. And how could anyone forget a game that just randomly made characters blow up and die to make room for the next party member?

Actually thats the only thing I disliked about 4. EVERYONE KEPT GETTING KICKED OUT!!!! It was incredibly annoying. Otherwise its good. My favorites are FFVI, FFVII, and FFT. I can't decided on the best though. FFT had the best storyline, but the other two were EXTREMELY awesome. FFVII also had a good story though...

I meant it as a joke. I found it annoying as well. That's the one game I use a game genie for a lot just so I can have a custom party. I loved it otherwise though.
