    Default Eidolons-Final Fantasy IX

Can someone tell me if they know where to get the jewels for Ark and Alexander? I saw them in my cards but I actually never saw them as Eidolons.

well You cant get Alexander On FF9... which is a shame.
To get Ark you need the Synth 2 pumice pieces, or defeat Ozma to recive the Pumice.
    Hope I helped.

Sorry that I dont know the locations of the pumice pieces, but I think Ark drops 1 in the Oeilvert place. Oh and you can only synth the pumice pieces at Hades synth shop.(disk 4)

You can get a Pumice Piece from one of the Chocgraphs, one for beating Ark, and you can steal one from Ozma.

You can synth one at Hades' shop but you need a Pumice anyway to synth it,

Can you please tell me the point in useing a hammer and a Pumice to make a Pumice piece? Sure you can learn boost from a Pumice piece but isn't Ark better?

Did I say there was a point, or that it was a good idea?

yeah - the chocograph treasure location with the pumice piece is here -

    quote from GameFaqs -
    22-Outer Island 2 (Sky)-I think there's a desert nearby, kupo.
    North-northwest of Desert Empress (Palace).
Contains: 11 Sapphire, 1 Circlet, 1 Pumice Piece, 1 Hilda Garde 3 Card.
just in case the quote is a bit confusing-

    Chocograph piece number ---- 22
Chocograph treasure name ---- 'Outer Island 2'
Kupo hint --- "I think there's a desert nearby, hupo"
Location --- North - northwesst of Desert Empress

    and the contents are obvious.

And as for the hammer and pumice being synthisised to make a pumice piece - I agree that it is stupid because you would be losing two of the rarest items in the game for only a rare item.
plus (SPOILER)without the hammer you can't view the secret scene in the ending

(SPOILER)The secret ending is a bit hard to notice, I didn't actually realise the difference until the second time I completed the game - but the extra scene involves Boss pretending to kill cinna with a sword in the play.

Yes. You'd be better off using the Hammer to synth the Tin Armor for Steiner.
