Sorry to double post but can I have a theme? Just something threatening to the party but not like a battle theme.
Could I be a boss with a wicked special named after my account (buster sword strike) like taking a huge sword and slicing everything infron of me in half? It would be cool. And a special called Aeris's prayers were Holy destroys the opponent and heals me? Thanks a lot!

Could I try a mix of dragoon and Blue Mage? Have an attack that lets me drain the power of an enemy like Khimari's lancet, and then have it so that I might learn certain moves if I make it. What I would suggest (if this isn't too complex) is I learn a certain percentage of the move each time I use the attack, weaker moves being easier to learn and harder moves being harder to learn.

It'd probably be like gaining a magic point or so under the FF6 system with every use of the lancet skill. And maybe have improved versions of the skill that might cost more MP but be more potent and increase the gain.

I don't know if the idea's already been thrown in, I'm too lazy to read the entire thread, but if you're still looking for characters, I was to be an excentric old granny that lives in some recluse town in a small house with numerous cats. I'll be sitting on the porch and yell for you kids to get off my lawn when you first meet me. And if you actually talk to me a second time, I will ask you a yes or no question. Depending on your answer, I will either fight you using a frying pan of love, (really easy fight. Give me like 10 HP and you earn like 2 GP and 5 XP) or give you a clue to a side quest (of your choice). After you complete the side quest though, you'll only hear me rambling about the good old days.
Also, make some of the other townspeople claim I totally lost it, that I bring a great disturbance to the force, etc.
Hmm. Should work. But just so you know if your going to be my rival then you can't be in the party. Just a boss in a side-quest. Or you could probably playable once (after the 3 comfronts) How about it??
