Get it for GBA then brag to feioncaster about how awesome you are at FF
ebay
Please, avoid at all cost the GBA version...it is so boring. I am a fan of the original nintendo one...which was a lot funner.
Ok I must admit it was insanely harder, but that was the point!!
The version they made for GBA is so easy, you don't even have to do anything, except hold your finger on "A" to attack...
I must admit that finding a Nintendo Console and the game is probably impossible, but there are a lot of good emulators out there!
The only game to play is the old nes version.
The others are sort of lousy, from what I've seen and played. The bugs are fixed, but it isn't worth the idiotical gameplay.
The nes version is on ebay. Or has been for a long time. Multiple copies. Get it.
There's usually about 4390273094861045987259327582357981478923 working NES consoles being sold on ebay at any given time, and about 397053958349 copies of FFI. Granted, they're usually incomplete, cartridge only, but they're easily obtainable.Originally Posted by arkonrubik
What? The NES version was nearly identical to the FFO version. The only real differences were the fixed spells/effects, increased boss HP and weapon/armor pooling. There's nothing else in there that makes a huge difference. Okay, maybe the buying 99 Potions at once will change things a bit, but the end result is the same.Originally Posted by Martyr
The GBA version was dumbed down a lot though, no argument there.
Oh, wait, I may be confusing versions.
I think it would've been great if on FFO, for both games, they had an option in the beginning if you wanted to play the with old graphics or new graphics.
I bought a NES the other day at the local game shop, for $30 and a new copy of FF for $10. my orignal's battery died and i didnt want to open my sealed unopened copy so i decided to just buy a new one.
I would reccomend FF Origins for the Playstation.
After playing it on NES, PS and GBA, I found the PS version to be the absolutely best.
- The NES version has dated graphics, some real horrible sounds and is buggy.
- The PS version (FF Origins) has the same great gameplay as the NES version with updated graphics, sound and music and it has gotten rid of all those bugs.
- The GBA version (FF - Dawn of Souls) look and sound the same as the PS version, but the gameplay is totally changed for the worse. You do get some bonus dungeons, but they're not worth it. It's just WAY too easy. It can even compete with FF Mystic Quest as the easiest FF to date.
Can't tell you where to get it, though.
Kweh!?
