As your democratically (and narrowly, I might add) elected representative, I relish the opportunity to rule as your... uhm... ruler for the second year in a row. I believe my harrowing election history, being elected for the first time as a newbie, and being elected for the SECOND time in the shadow of a forum giant, should be inspiration for even the most shy amongst you. Consider me a living testament to the magic and mystery of this community. *preens*
All that babble aside, as your leader I have no crazy rules to pretend I enforce, and I have no set way things are going to be taken care of. My primary concern is for the good health of General Chat. It may not contain the glitter of the Lounge, the intellect and global consciousness of Eyes on the World, or the technical knowledge of the gaming forums, but there's a reason it is the most popular. That reason, my friends, is in the connections between all of us. General Chat demonstrates to us what we are capable of on a simpler, happier level. A level where newbie and oldbie alike can share common ground! I say we all keep that in mind as we continue to keep this community a part of each of our lives.
Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for electing me as your representative. My only wish is that I can continue to embody what General Chat and Eyes on Final Fantasy means to each of you.
And by God, may the fart thread that got me this far live on in your minds forever and ever. Amen.
