Default The Most Recognizable Voice in the Business

We're talking TV, movies, music, whatever. Who would you say has the most recognizable voice in the entertainment industry? Note that it doesn't have to be in a good way, either. You could say James Earl Jones, Gilbert Gottfried, or the dude who says "BRILLIANT!" in every single Guinness commercial.

Gilbert Gottfried does have an easily recognizable voice. Ugh. Robin Williams and James Woods as well; or maybe it's just me. Whoopi Goldberg and Ellen Degeneres as well.

    Hm.

For me the most recognizable voices are:

    Fran Drescher.

    ...And

    Shirley Bassey.

I'll go with Billy Crudup, the fellow who does the Mastercard commercial voiceovers, though perhaps I'm bias since I've met him several times.

In the end though, I think the MOST recognizable TV voice would probably be one of if not all of the following: Ed McMahon, Mike Wallace, Larry King, or Johnny Carson.

As for music, it's Sinatra hands down.

Film, probably James Earl Jones as Darth Vader alone makes him an iconic voice yet he's also done so much more work on top of that.

    Take care all.

    Robin Williams is pretty noticable.

I realize he's not technically alive anymore, but Louis Armstrong has one of the most distinctive voices I've ever heard.

Uh, how about Don LaFontaine, the narrating voice behind nearly every movie trailer?

These are some of the most recognizable voices to me.

-Billy West. (Ren & Stimpy, Futurama's Fry, and he even does the voice of Larry Fine of the Three Stooges in some instances.)
-Tara Strong.(Perhaps the busiest little lady in voice-acting, today. FFX's Rikku, PPG's Bubbles, Batman's Batgirl, and my personal favorite, Drawn Together's Princess Clara/Toot Braunstein.)
-Scott McNeil. (The original DBZ Piccolo, X-Men Evolution's Wolverine, and Jetfire from the Transformers.)
    -John DiMaggio. (Futurama's Bender, Spawn-Armageddon's Redeemer, and FFX's Wakka/Kimahri.)

It's March. Therefore, it's Dick Vitale.
