So a few days ago, RSL told me he didn't like breakfast at all, or breakfast foods. BUT THEN HE JUST SAID HE LIKES POPTARTS! Does this make any sense at all?

Do you have friends/acquaintances who say they dislike something entirely, but end up enjoying an small, subsect of that something? Like RSL hating breakfast but liking poptarts?
