I began my life on a rather large (and now proven to be inherently evil) chat+board system (although I never ventured past the chat rooms for anything but the site-builder stuff) that was talkcity. I had about a million names thereX.x;; Please don't pass judgement on them, I beg of you. the choice ones I remember are: senatorkitten, BriaKitten, BlackestWhite (grey?), Ruby_Lagreglo_Lapiz, and Jume. X.x;
Then I found WOFS. It was a board from kellilla.com (and is now permanently dead, I think;_
Watch Out For Snakes shaped my foruming. I never registered for the exboard (and I still haven't. Because exboard is almost as inherently evil as talkcity) but when I crept out of lurkerdom, I posted as Jume.
About the same time, I was delving face first into harry potter rpgs. there was expage.com/padfootspage or something like that. I was Ruby Lapiz, and when the owner of that particular rpg decided to delve back into the depths that is real life, it was transferred to someone else, who decided to thread it back into an rpg that one of *her* friends was making. And because insidetheweb, which hosting that forum was dying on march 7th (or was it 9th), I allowed myself to be herded to magichogwarts.com. MH has had a lot of turmoil, but somehow after four years it's still crawling by. Probably not for much longer, but you know how that goes.
As WOFS died the first time, I found myself in possession of a Livejournal shared with a couple of other people (nari has her own now, and meekah almost never posts, so it's mine. . .) This was a way to keep in touch with the WOFSers, and it has worked. Several of them still float around and post and occaisionally comment.
One thing that MH helped spawn was my dolling habit. Because of this, eventually I joined a few dolling forums. The Realm (realmers.net) is the one I've posted the most at (although that's still very few)
More importantly, MH and its IRC channel spawned my IRC addiction. yey.
But anyways, as MH died, I felt the need to find other forums to satiate my need to read posts, so I made my way to brightshinything.net when a friend from the realm posted it on her LJ. <3 BST.
When Charli decided to go her own way, I hesitantly followed her, and post occaisionally at la dolce, at thalea.com/dolce. Both of those names were Jume.
A long time after my friend first showed me the wonder that is final fantasy, I decided to find a forum for it, when the other people quit posting in the thread in the video game section of BST, so I looked for a forum for that purpose. EoFF was the second I found, but because it's a lot cooler about letting people join quicker, I hung around here and I hope to shed my n00bish chains before too long. I chose rubah because it sounds cooler than Jume. so yeah.
I think that's most of the important ones. Cabotel never lasted long enough to make much of an impression, I stayed away from HPHC, and the two other rpgs I tried to join around the time of padfoot's page probably haven't been updated in years.
