Help with ChatZilla!

Okay, I am using the Firefox extension, ChatZilla!, and I tried to connect to the EoFF chat room, but it keeps on saying connection refused. Please help.

We will need more than that to help you. Are you connecting to the proper port and URL?

Why not just get a standalone irc program?

mIRC (.com) is very wellknown and would serve the purpose just fine.

and yes, using the proper ports is immensely important. Also-- do you have certain firewalls that might be interfering here?

I dunno know how to connect to the port. I did the URL part, but the port part is over my head.

All I did was type "/server irc.ffchat.net" then I got the message that the connection was refused. So how do I connect to the proper port?

Just add it on the end.
