    Default An interesting question

I have recently been thinking of an interesting question. If somehow the entire world could merge together, and become one unified and prosperous country, who, or what do you think should go on the currency? There have been so many great people, and there are so many spectacular landmarks and incredible art and architecture in this world that the possibilities seem almost endless. I am very interested to hear everyone's idea's on this.

Personally, I think J.S. Bach should be featured on a bill or a coin, simply because he is one of the greatest artistic geniuses to have ever lived. Everything about his music is incredible.

    Anyways, what do you think?

(Also, I do not want to hear comments about how the world could never be unified. We are just pretending.)

Umm... what currency? I'm quite certain we'll all just have computer chips installed into the back of our hands that does all this stuff for you. The robot slaves will do all the production, and we'll just sit around being happy.

I don't think -if we became unified- anybody could decide what persons to stick on the currency. So I think the planets and the sun would be a good idea of what to put on the currency. Example: On say the $20 note we could have maybe Neptune and on the $50 note we could feature the sun.

Johann Gutenburg would definitely be on one of the bills. The printing press is one of the most important achievements in human history to date.

Very interesting. I had never thought of anything like that.

I aggree with Rusty(dang it you beat me to it )

Another good thing to reproduce would be different types of stars, there are several of them. Or we could just make them have a symbol of unity on each one... and just have them as different sizes.(not sure what symbol we should use but meh.. there has to be a good one out there)

STILL Updating the anime list. . . I didn't think I was that much of an anime freak! I don't even want to consider updating the manga list!

Probably noted Western leaders such as FDR, Churchill, Washington, Lincoln, etc.

I'd vote for people that helped to unify people, such as Nelson Mandela and Ghandi, as well as whomever it was that helped to bring the unification of the planet together.

    Very interesting topic.

    Take care all.

I will tell you who goes on the coins and blah blah blah. NO ONE! As for land marks...7 wonders of the world. If anyone were to go on coins it would be the founders of the new world government.

I really like the idea of the 7 wonders of the world though. It is something that I think everyone can agree upon and has no real cultural bias.

I think the argument would lead to the destruction of mankind.

I'm being very serious. Somebody would get mad because their leaders were left out. And then they'd get other people mad. Before you know it, it's WWIII.

    Signature by rubah. I think.

Hitler cause his moustache is so cool.

Anyway, seriously, I have no idea. Probably it would have to be buildings, as with the Euro. Then again, if I had to choose people, well, Lao Tse (no one knows how he looked, so just put a chinese guy with beard), Plato, Rousseau, Shakespeare, Cervantes...I personally would not put military figures...I mean, what kind of economy would that be? Capitalism? Or would it be a socialist nation? I dunno, all those kind of things matter.

Agree. For example it could be the mountains, or the ocean, or anything depicting nature. A setting sun on a bill would be cool too. Or if the new world had a symbol, or a flag unifing them, you could use that. If there had to be someone's head I would say it would have to be some one influencial on the international scale. Like The Captain said, Ghandi, or Nelson Mandela.

    oo ooo oooooooooo

    I have an idea!!! ^_^

ok if the world merged into one country but was seperated into different regions as there formal country's name.We can hold a big tournament of the best fighters from each region(formal country). The one whom wins will have there country's(regional) currency used as the new worldwide use and all other currency will be invalid. When the world does unite we can finally participate in inter-planetary conqueroring.

Actually, I think everyone would kill each other before they had time to work out the currency.

I hope, that when the world will be united, we'll be over this currency system.... I reckon with cashless paying.... microchips or pocket pc's doing that or whatever......

hm... I guess Hitler is none of the worse ideas.... at least nobody will forget him and his cruelties and probably more people will learn to cope with this topic.
