I had train-tracks on my upper set for 2 years and a retainer for 3 years after that. Not enjoyable, specially as I was in school at the time, but I can now safely say it was worth it as my teeth are now almost completely straight. I like my teeth I do have 3 filling's already though, I'm a sugar whore, I cant help it
