Watch out mr. adorable, looks like humans just found a way to justify killing you as they have done so many times before.
Well, they are talking about feral, wild cats that are over running the streets and killing off other species. If it was some horribly ugly animal that was killing off pretty little birds would you protest it as much? I don't like the whole idea either, considering it is the fault of humans that these feral cats' population is out of control.
I'm not sure where I stand on this issue to be honest.

No, no! Sorry, I am just kidding. I am a rather non-violent person, but I understand how some things simply must die if they get out of control, in order to let other things live. It's our fault that all the cats are out there. We, as humans, messed up the natural order of things here, and unfortunately, we may need to fix our mistake in this manner in order to avoid putting certain bird species into extinction.
Wait! I have a solution! Capture all the cats and than let them go in NY to take care of the pigeon problem!
As for the horses, that is just wrong. Those damn horses were already wild, and were there first. They kill them to give cattle grazing ground, and to keep them off the land.

I love animals too, but I love all animals, not just the cute ones.Which is why this might end up being a valid idea if things get any worse.

I love all animals as well, unless you consider bugs animals, if someone proposed a bug genocide I'd be first in line to whole heartedly agree. I can't think of a horribly ugly animal... Well, I guess Pug dogs are horribly ugly, but they're so ugly they totally go around the spectrum and become cute again. I'm pretty much against the killing of animals for a reason such as this. I'm not too into the idea of killing animals for food either, but I think meat is delicious so I have no grounds to complain there. This just seems totally wrong to me because it just seems like an excuse so that people have another thing they can legally kill.
I also don't like the grounds that this is being based on, I think the study is completely bogus.7.8 million to 217 million... Yeah, really respectable.
