Now, I completely understand your concern, but again, I ask: If is was instead some horribly ugly animal that was killing off vast amounts of birds, would you be so against the hunting of them?

I love animals too, but I love all animals, not just the cute ones. Which is why this might end up being a valid idea if things get any worse.
