    Yeah, no big loss there.

    In a nutshell:

Korn bring out ST (Korn). It rules, no questions asked
Korn bring out Life is Peachy (or "the funny one" as I like to call it). It's formulaic, but still good
Korn bring out Follow the Leader (or "the bling-bling one"). It's very poppy, loses touch with roots, the "korn kidz" kick up a right fuss.
Korn bring out Issues (or "the wierd one"). Bit better, but everyone's sorta indifferent.
Korn bring out Untouchables (or "the s4!7 one"). Nobody likes except people who aren't fans of korn. Figure THAT one out!
Korn bring out Take a Look In the Mirror (or "sounds kinda like all the others, but it's probably the second best next to ST" one). By this time a lot of people don't notice.
    Brian Welch finds Jesus
    James Scaffer finds Buddha
    David finds Allah
Fieldy finds an MTV series involving one of the following : Pimping someone's ride/surprising celebrities/lifestyles of the rich and famous
JD go off and does more random vampire movies and stuff with Clive Barker
The world carries on until the Sun explodes after depleting it's hydrogen supply and expanding to a Red Giant.

That's pretty much all you need to know (anything after Brian Welch is a prediction on my part). Basically Korn were significant when they first came out, but now they're just "another nu-metal band". I wouldn't be at much of a loss if they split, they've done what they needed to do.

Actually, I mean that Korn will go on to make the same boring, redundant crap over the years amd mindless "hardcore" fans will buy their albums no matter how terrible it sounds.

I liked their first two albums a lot, but after that I found it hard for me to get into them. Their last two or three albums has sounded the SAME DAMN WAY. Musically, Korn hasn't evolved for years. And that's the way I feel about Metallica too, hence the comparison (the difference is I was never a big Metallica fan).

Precisely. I'd also say that Brian Welsh leaving is only the 'official' death of Korn. They essentially died years ago in my opinion, and will stay dead even if they recruit another guitarist. Welsh is porbably making the right decision for himself - there clearly wasn't much left to do in Korn.

that was funny as hell. yeah, music is turning into a drag latly. i always thought that KoRn was better than that, but at least they broke up before they released anything that completly let me down. I liked all of there CD's, the st and life is peachy better than the rest, but the only song that i have ever disliked by KoRn is word up and its not even really there song. After there Vol 2 comes out, thats all she wrote.

    Unhappy Noooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I first heard about this on the KERRANG website and was gutted. I have been a huge, HUGE fan of KoRn for years. I first heard them back in 1996 and fell in love. They are my favorite band in the world and I am still crying over this. (I can’t stop) I knew this would happen one day but I refuse to believe it. I really don’t know what to say though except that I am generally upset over this and wish it is not true. (please say it isn’t true)

I am too upset to talk about this anymore, I will post back later…
