And the quality of our prisons is insane as well...I mean goodness grachious I know people who can't afford cable TV, I know people who can just barely afford a roof over thier heads... and criminals DESERVE more? I think not.
As for the book issue.. i believe it is important for books to be there. Pornography is an exception.. I feel you get really little educational value from that. Whereas reading large novels can greatly increase ones intellect and may help to teach some moral values... particualy if the books there are books that are written by people about how it is like to be a victim.
