Lava Lamps

So what do you think of Lava Lamps? Do you have one? Do you like them? Are they actually "lamps" as in, made to be used as a lightsource? Or are they just for looking at.

I have a big one sitting on my desk with red "lava" in purple water. It looks sexy.

So yeah...lava lamps.

I like lava lamps, I used to own one, it had red lava in yellowish water. There was a guy who was killed because of a lava lamp. The way he died was that he set it on his stove, and when it blew, a shard of glass either penetrated his heart, or his lungs. That was a surprising story to hear.

I have a lava lamp, its got blue lava and the outside is clear. It doesn't really light up a room that much but I love it, It's going to come extremely handy when I get my room done out with a "tropical" theme.

Lava Lamps are cool, I'd buy one if they weren't 50+ bucks, and if all the goo didn't turn into an ugly curdled lump within 1 1/2 years.

I like mine, even if it doesn't work anymore. It was blue, and it was awesome. Although it'd take forever to get going. *sigh*

At this store by my house you can get a HUGE lava lamp for $50. Now the normal one's are like $20!

Otherwise..i've always wanted a lava lamp...but I have one of those sparkly ones instead. So good enough!

Mine is cool, even though i never use it. Its is orange, which isnt my favorite color, but it still works.

Maybe I will turn it on now.

I have a lava lamp! Its yellow when the wax is close to the bottom but becomes purple when the wax is at the top! It roxors my world.
