For the same reason that "This Is The Song That Doesn't End" does in fact end. What that reason is though, I don't quite know.

I've never heard of that song, so I don't sing it. I have no clue why other people do though.

I remember that I was at Chuck E Cheeseseseses, and I got mad when the stupid bird thing played that song.

No, the person who wrote the song doesn't care. We, who sing it, obviously care about the song, so we continue singing it. Actually, the writer cares, too... it's the narrator who appearantly doesn't care. Or, the narrator does care, but likes to pretend he doesn't...

Or maybe we are trying to tell everyone that we don't care, but we do it with a fun tune in our voice like we would when were little kids that were like 'I don't hear you :sing:'. Ok, I really don't know, but at least I tried.
