Eiko(level 28,1030,118 hp/mp)
My summons are Ramuh, Carbuncle, Phoenix (not used Phoenix). I have almost every weapon from shops...that sums it up moving on:
60-80 Potions/Hi Potions
99 most things like Antidote, etc expcept Magic Tag(9)
18 Ether
55 Tents
10-20 Elixir(not sure)

Doing alright. I was about lvl 35 when about to face Amarant but I had trained up loads at the Iifa Tree.

Oh dear...I just got Eiko, I'm heading to the Iifa Tree now...Im only like level 17...Did you do loads of levelling up? And will I have to so that I can defeat Amarant (Its my first time playing this game)

Level 17 is a little low, I was on level 40 where you are now.
I advice you to level up a bit.

Just keep at it. Make sure you get all the items from everywere. Equip the best armor and weapons. Might want to get to level 40 though, it's the best thing to do.

lvl 40 is very high. You dont need to be around that lvl. I was on lvl 35 ans Amarant was a joke. Go to about 28 or 29 and you will be fine. lvl to 40 will take days so dont bother

i think that i was only about lvl 20 odd so it dosn't really matter. you need to be a higher level if you want to get all the straling done but if you just want to get though the game do not worry!

I'm only on level 30 because I don't want the weaklings(Eiko,Vivi,Dagger)to reach higher than Freya and Steiner who are unplayable right now. Brahne just died...oh well.

Ugh, trust me I will level up more when I get all 8 together...that's when I level up faster.

I just finished that part, I think Zidane was only at level 23 or 24. Vivi was higher, actually, at 25. Eiko and Garnet were 22 and 24, I think.

I'm doing really well so far, I just entered Treno in Disk 3. I'll probably level up more eventually, but I reallyreally hate leveling up.

17 should be fine. But then again i did lvl 1 challenge to OZMA which took FOREVER. use your best skills and keep your health up and you'll be fine fighting Amarant. Best place to level up is above Gizamaluke's grotto in the little forest you pop up in. My advice is to go there as soon as you get the opportunity leveling will be a cinch for you there. Fight Garuda's, but make sure that you have locomotion enabled so that they can't cast stop on you.

40? I was about 40 in (SPOILER)Ipsen's Castle! I think 40 is a tad high. I was around 23-26 at that point.

I was about 40 and ended the game on 85 then decided to train to 99

Level 17? That is low, I was in the 30's which each character(i forgot Eiko),

Level Up! I finished the game on level 65 on the first go and level 87 the second go!
