Yes, this is a discussion on white rappers. Mainly, who is the best white rapper ever? I present to you the contenders (at least those I could think of):



Vanilla Ice
Sure, he stole most of his thunder from David Bowie, but who can dismiss Ice, Ice Baby and Cool as Ice?



Snow
Some amount of words for ya: "I lick ya boom boom down". That's all you need to know about Mister Informer.



Everlast
He got his first dosage of fame as part of House of Pain, but he hit it big in the late 1990s with his album Whitey Ford Sings the Blues.




Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit); Mike Shinoda (Linkin Park)
Love 'em or hate 'em, these two were at the forefront of the rap-metal storm that swept through the music scene at the turn of the century.



Eminem
Probably the most controversial rapper ever, but also one of its best.



Mike D, MCA and Ad-Rock: The Beastie Boys
Mostly harmless, but numerous catchy tunes have withstood the test of time.



Zack de la Rocha (Rage Against the Machine)
The voice of the most politically charged band in our generation.

I dont like most of Eminem's songs, but Lose Yourself is pretty good, and for that, I'll vote for him. I like that song because its talkin about his personal struggles of being a star and yet being so spiritually depraved at the same time- good message, and it'd be even better if he didnt cuss in it. However, I still enjoy listening to the song.

I'll just say Everlast, because I really love "What It's Like" by him.

Oh yeah, and Mike Shinoda killed Linkin Park. They weren't bad before he started being the rap nazi (the first album was great because he was barely rapping) and killing the rest of the albums.

I chose Vanilla Ice, mainly because of "Ice, Ice Baby" you can hate the song to death, but the fact remains, it sold over 3 million copies.
I personally don't like Vanilla Ice, but he's one of the best sellin' rappers of the 90's.

The only rap songs I've ever liked came from Eminem.

But I voted for Snow, because a white Canadian guy rapping utter nonsense in a raggae accent is clearly a sign of the apocalypse.
