From what I heard of the Japanese version, this one actually sounded a lot better. I think tearing one's head off is much cooler than cutting it off with a knife.

The english version made it seem like his body was made of gel or goo or something. In the Japanese version he actually bled... Spoiler-esque, but I'm glad I saw the video of the original first. That way I could imagine it as what happened while watching the editted scene. Anyway. My apologies for going off topic.

Magus (Chrono Trigger). Hey, is there nothing better than a homicidal wizard loner who's spells just kick butt!
Seifer(FF VIII). If there is, it must be a cool bad-boy loner who has a scar and a gunblade.
Shadow(FF VI). There are always situations you want shurikens and a ferocious dog to your side. Plus that ninjas are loners. AND that if he's not on your side, you might wake up finding out he has been hired to other side and you have eaten one shuriken too much.
Vincent(FF VII). You just can't cope without an (SPOILER)undead sniper!

They all seem to be quite loners so I quess they wouldn't disturb each other too much.

Party #2 if I had been allowed to make one:
Cid (FFVII). Hey, he's a spear-wielding, cigarette-smoking airshipflier!
Setzer(FFVI). He could beat you in poker and then cut your throat USING THOSE SAME CARDS!
Edge(FFIV). You always need a ninja. Especially if Shadow's not on your side.
Crono(Chrono Trigger). Cool hair, katana, fast as lightning, casts some seriously damaging lightning spells! What else could you want!
