I remember a thread a long time ago where people were talking about naming characters funny things, like naming Aerith "My Balls" so that when Cloud goes on his spiel after (SPOILER)she dies it's quite humorous. My favorite for Amarant was Asshole. "I am the flaming Asshole!"

Amarant was okay. I used him in my party for a while, sticking him with the healer ability so I used his attacks to heal my party while using No Mercy to deal damage. His backstory was lacking, but as others have said he had potential. Mostly he was two dimensional and rather boring.
