What are you currently reading!

I am reading ‘Underworld: Blood Enemy’. It’s basically the prequel to ’underworld’. It’s about how Lucian a Lycan (werewolf) falls in love with a vampire named Sonja and how the whole War against vampire and werewolves started.

What about you?

I'm almost at the end of Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail '72 by Hunter S. Thompson. It chronicles the Presidential race of 1972, mainly focusing on the campaign of democrat George McGovern. It's a wonderful peice of journalism.

I'm close to finishing the first (It's called the Reality Dysfunction) of 3 books in the Night's Dawn Trilogy by Peter. F. Hamilton. It's a Sci-Fi/horror book, which is a new genre for me, but I'm very impressed so far, and can't wait to buy the second one.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion,
I watched seabeams glittering at Tanhauser Gate.
All these moments will be lost, like tears in rain.
Time to die.

for an ethics homework: 'A treatment concerning the human understanding' (David Hume)
for a history exam: 'The rise and fall of the Third Reich' (William L. Shirer)
for German classes: 'The Reader' (Bernhard Schlink)

.. well, if I had time, I'd read 'Fabian' by Erich Kästner..... but I haven't got much and this book is too good to read it in a hurry....

Just finished The Devil Wears Prada.

Alas, another book that's all hype and no substance.

I just finished reading the seventh and last book in the Dark Tower series by Stephen King, and now I'm off to read The Talisman by the same author.

King has been writing the Dark Tower over the course of thirty+ years, and it's an epic I would describe as sort of a dark fantasy version of Lord of the Rings, only more enjoyable to read (frankly, I find Tolkien's writing style somewhat boring). A good number of his books have ties to the Dark Tower, and I hope to read a few of those now.

I'm reading Shadow Moon by George Lucas and Chris Claremont. I'm sure you recognize one name, but probably not the other, but that's ok.

Tigana, by Guy Gavriel Kay. The first chapter was eh, but since then it's been really good. It's not exactly what I was expecting, but perhaps it's better this way. But I'm still thinking about Enchantment, by Orson Scott Card. WOW.
