Which game is it?

I have downloaded FFIII for the NES, but it isn't the version that is in the site.
That's what they say when the game starts:

"The Gurgan Quietly spoke...

That's FF III.
The version of FF III I've played starts like this. And it's a good translation.

You probably want to play Final Fantasy VI , which originally was known in the U.S. as FF III.

Try looking for it on

www.romnation.net.

It's a SNES game so you will need a different emulator that you can find on the same site. (my advice is ZSNES).

Well, I don't think he's looking for FFVI as he's already played it (he posted in the FFVI section of the forum some time ago).

So there's ANOTHER version?

I know two different versions (one of them is very crappy). Probably there are more versions out there...but I recommend playing the one you have. It's a good translation...
