The Battle Square - it's there that you acquire the valuable W-Summon materia and Omnislash manual (and the Champion Belt probably deserves a mention, as well). The only other Square that I spend that much time in is the Chocobo Square, and I do spend some time there.

Catnip is an accessory in FFX-2. The accessory you're probably referring to is the Cat's Bell, which restores HP as you walk/run. Also, you can get Sprint Shoes the first time you win an 8-fight sequence in Battle Square from the woman standing outside. This only works once. As you noted, you can repeatedly get Sprint Shoes through Chocobo racing.

My favorite Square? Well, besides the company, I'll go with Ghost. You can't top Mr. Hangman.

Oh yeah got mixed up wit catnip and cats bell lol, wots wit all the cat accsessories anyway, should get sumthin like a dogs collar to rapidly improve your strength, or on X-2 it could counter itch!

Event Square at the end of Disc 1. After that it'd have to be the Chocobo Racing square, 'Cause it's probably one of the funnest things to do in Golden Saucer, apart from the Snowboarding thingie.
