He's very useful in battle, especially since his Jump attack causes him to avoid a lot of nasty stuff. I really like how vulnerable he was, despite his 'bad ass dragoon' deal. His jealousy of Cecil, his feelings for Rosa, all very human aspects and very neat to deal with. I also like how, at the end, he (SPOILER)goes out on his own instead of going back with everyone else, to atone for his sins. Very cool.
He's alright. Jump is useful for certain things.
