New "Sonic" games with a pistol?

When I heard Sonic would have a gun or something, I didn't read anymore. xD I haven't liked any of the Sonic games after the Megadrive ones anyway.

I don't mind when Mario games stray off from the basic Mario formula, because they are usually fun. When Sonic games try something different, it usually sucks. Using Sonic Adventures 2 as an example, the levels you play as Sonic and Shadow are fun, because it uses what Sonic games do best - speed. The scavager hunts you do as Knuckles and Rouge were boring and frusteration and the robot levels as Tails and Eggman were just stupid. Hence, I have little faith that Sega can pull off a game where you shoot things with a gun as Shadow.

The sonic games are getting worse and by the looks of that trailer it seems Sega have really lost any good ideas. Im dreading to see what a Sonic game will be like when you get a gun. The games gonna be a flop like Sonic heros and so is Sega

Okay, so I didn't realise it was Shadow at first. But I still doubt it'll be anything that special. If it's something totally different, fair enough, but personally I'll be avoiding it.
