Even that's looking too deep into it. Sephiroth was simply Cloud's superior in the Shin-Ra military. Based on what we're shown in the game, to even say they were friends would be stretching it.

I know I've always had an intentionally high affection rating with Tifa, so even should the alternate scene be possible, I couldn't have gotten it. I'm also hoping someone with a low affection rating for her comes along to post.

Yup, jynx. I'll admit, that I'm always a jerk to Tifa. I buy the flower from Aeris and give it to Marlene. Marlene's cuter anyway. I have to say that the dialogue is basically everything there except for the stuff in italics. Actually, it's more of friend like moment. There's not really any relationship stuff at all. Just like friends. That's one of the things I like about the game...you can choose your couple. I could never bring myself to be mean to Aeris anyway. Actually, a lot of the things Tifa says, Cloud doesn't reply to if you're a total jerk to her. He basically just sits there and stares at the stars. I guess there will never be proof that either couple is actually the true couple of the game.

And Aeris isn't a slut. If you recall during the scene when they enter sector 6 (can't remember the town name), Aeris says that place is dangerous for girls. Implying that she doesn't like going there. She wouldn't have said that if she were a slut. And her relationships don't prove anything. That would be like saying that any of the girls from FF games are sluts because a lot of them have had relationships. None of the girls are sluts, really.

Thank you for the input, Terra. ^^ Two player sources and the website I linked to are enough to convince me. With that in mind, I must now repeat what I said before and laugh:

Ironically, if it is true, that would mean that all those in pro-Aerith for Cloud camp who argue that the odds being stacked in favor of Aerith being his date for the Gold Saucer -- and, thus, his destined true love -- (as she has a higher starting affection level than Tifa, Barret, or Yuffie) would have to concede that the game has things stacked in favor of Cloud opening up to Tifa later, as one would have to go out of their way to be a complete jerk to her to achieve the less-affectionate outcome. It really is balanced out between them.

I hacked the affection rating for my PC version save... it's completely true. This is also how I managed to get the dates with Barret and Yuffie... I never could get them legit.

There are a lot of "interesting" fan art pictures out there of all the characters. Just do a google image search w/o safe search on and plug in their name.

That said, those people who draw that crap really need to get a life... and a girlfriend... or at least some, well nevermind....

i've only been through the FULL Game beggining to end once so i've only had that scene once (today i got pissed off i got to the train driver in the corel quest killed him but i couldnt stop the bluddie train )
