Pic Trouble

hey, can anyone help with my sig pic? I put this image in photo bucket and it resized it automatically. Now this black appears above it. How can I get rid of it?

I've copied it, and put it into photobucket: no problem at all. Maybe it had to do something with the file format?

Thing is, that file is still too big for a signature.
I lowered the quality a bit.

65.14 kB (66700 bytes) - 50 kB is the limit. The one I posted above is within the limits.
