If you consider all the various ethnic minorities subsumed into the USSR to be Russian. Stalin himself was actually Ossetian, I believe.

Because Stalin crimes aren't as well known as Hilter's, simple as that. And that's because most of the people who suffered under Stalin were Russian, and therefore no concern of the rest of the world. Meanwhile Hilter's crimes DID have people who weren't German suffering.

Sadly that's true. Some people would like to think that 20+ million Slavs simply vanished off the face of the earth.
