Which three characters do you use on a team most often?
My favorite team is Crono, Marle and Ayla, but I also like to use Robo, Lucca and Frog together. (My teams are just from Chrono Trigger because I've never played Chrono Cross, but feel free to post your favorite CC teams too.)

Chrono, Lucca/Marle, Robo. But (SPOILER)after you lose Chrono it is Robo, Marle, Lucca.
However, (SPOILER)there is a way you can get Crono back if you won a clone of him at Norstein Bekkler's Lab.
My general party is Crono, Frog, and Magus. However, Ayla shows up whenever I want to steal something (which is often, since I have to be careful not to miss anything), since she has Charm.
My typical party consists of Crono, Ayla, and Frog, or Crono, Frog, and Marle, depending on whether I want to play offensively or defensively. Crono and Ayla in the first setup dish out more damage than I'd ever need (with Crono's Confuse tech, and Ayla's even-more-powerful Triple Kick), while Frog switches between attacking and minor healing.
In the second setup, Frog and Marle's Double Cure double tech is great for keeping me alive indefinitely.
I know.However, (SPOILER)there is a way you can get Crono back if you won a clone of him at Norstein Bekkler's Lab.
(SPOILER)Actually, you have to get him back. If you didn't get a clone your first time at the millenial fair, Belthasar's Nu tells you to visit Norstein Bekkler's lab and get one. You get to play the minigame for no charge, Then you have to pay money for the clone, and the amount you pay depends on how well you did. If you beat the game while he's dead, though, you see him come back in the ending.
