Thread: Senubian Desert

  1. #1

    Default Senubian Desert

I'm in the Senubian desert (however that is spelled) and I found a place where a sandstorm blocks my path. I'm guessing some good items are in that part but how do I get past the sandstorm?

You have to play the 10 Gatekeepers mini game, and after you've finished it, it stops.

It's best trying this after you get the airship, as you have more time, and hopefully a No Encounters weapon, as it is very time consuming.

Behind it are the Mercury Sigil, and a couple of other things.

I am trying to play it but, when I check the stone and go all the way to the Oasis, the cactuar isn't there.
    Does anyone know why?

Once you get to the Oasis, a cut scene should come up showing where he is, I think. He is by the save sphere.

As for it not working, It may be the American version or something? I don't know....

Are you directly running from the rock to the Oasis, without going on the airship? That may be it.

Both FFX and FFX-2 have Cactuar Gatekeeper sidequests. Are you sure you're all talking about the same one?

In FFX you intiate the sidequest you examine the stone south of the Cactuar Valley, as redxiii said. Clues are given to the locations of the cactuars, all of whom are on Bikanel Island, or there abouts. You need to walk (do not use the Airship) to these locations, find the Cactuar in question, then return to the stone you started at. Once all you have obtained all 10 spheres from the Gatekeepers you need to examine the stone to cause a scene where the sandstorm ceases and you can go into the valley to grab your rewards.
