    Default I can't get my speakers to work.

    A while ago, this computer stopped making sound. I can't play music, compose, or anything. I have used two different speakers on this computer, but to no avail. What is it that could be stopping the computer from making sound? I could REALLY use sound right about now.

    Did you check all of your volumne settings? Maybe the sound is just turned off?

    Yes, I did that. The volume is most definetly turned on. I wish it were that simple.

    Did you check your driver or your sound card? Although I don't know how you would check your sound card.

    It could be a lot of things, but here are a few to check:

    - Verify that you are plugging your speakers into the correct plug on your sound card/device.
    - Check Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices (Audio Tab) to make sure you have the correct sound device selected
    - Run "dxdiag" and check the Sound tab to ensure that directX is using the correct sound device
