    Yeah - last night we were modeling a resonating instrumentation shelf in a rocket as a dynamic beam. I had the more accurate model which accounted for the shelf + tuned vibration absorber non-linearity, while my teammate did not. He tried to force his linear system until MATLAB rejected it, at which point we used my model, and it worked.

    I mean, what?
