We probably won't know for at least 3 weeks either, as there is a lot of protocol to go through beforehand.

    Take care all.

20 days sounds like a good guess.

Regardless of anyone's personal feelings towards him, he was a great man without question. I will miss him as a person.

Yams said it better than I could.

I almost want to cry when I think that he is gone.

It is going to be strange, as was said he's been Pope for the entire lives of a good 50% of the population. I imagine the Cardinals are already preparing to convene and choose his successor.

Wasn't there some kind of prophecy or something about the popes? I forget exactly but it was something about the three girls seeing mary and there were only supposed to be a few more popes before the end of the world. I think one of them was supposed to be something like Gloria Oliviae or something like that. I'm probably waaaay off.

At any rate, the pope was a great man, and he really seemed to take time to stand up for the poor and the weak. I respect him for that, even if I'm not Catholic.

May he rest in peace. My friend who technically has been confirmed a Catholic but hasn't been to mass in years went today with his Grandmother and just from that wants to adopt it as his religion.

Not quite, as I know what you are talking about. It was 3 secrets told by Mary. I dont know the other two, in fact, I dont know if the other 2 were revealed yet, but one of them was the foretelling of the assasination attempt on John Paul II

My dad is a devout Catholic. He just told me that he thinks the Pope died today for a reason. Apparently, tommorow is a special holiday or something called 'divine mercy sunday'. Pope John Paul I believe created this holiday (although I don't know why). So tommorow, millions upon millions of people will be praying on divind mercy sunday. If there is a god, than this is no coincidence.

Nostradamus predicted all the popes who have come so far. On his list he only predicted two more after John-Paul II.
Although i am not catholic, i am sorrowful that he has died. May he rest in peace.
