People are expecting something for April Fool's, and we did a ban joke last year. The general consensus seems to be that Kishi really is banned, especially since Raist saw his 'illicit hentai' and agrees that an outright ban is the only possible response.

People are gonna remember recent tensions in staff - and I'm sure Raist and Proto will help them remember if they somehow forgot - and then they'll see us bitching at each other in the next couple of days; I'm sure our acting will kid most of them.

Yeah, you guys, just go with it. They can think it's all a joke if they want, good for them. They haven't seen all the other crap we're going to do, and then they'll think EVERYTHING is a joke, and then at least we'll have two new Knights out of it and we can even 'undo' things slowly - ie, re-Knight/admin people at the start of the day but not return Feedback until the end of it, and they'll also think the two new Knights will be a joke but then they'll be REAL so yeah. Or something. But I do agree with Kishi.

I think it'd be more fun to just erase all evidence of the joke (except the new knights) right at the end of the day and not say anything for at least a full 24 hours.

I logged in after everything had died down, so we're pretending I'm arguing against Kishi being banned. I didn't want to just jump in and be like "No way, he's not banned!" and unban him straight away. Plus, my brain really isn't functioning so I didn't want to make any decisions about anything.

On the start of April Fools, we should do a more minor joke, I nominate that we change all the forum links to links to the main forum index, so clicking them will only bring you to where you were before. You'd have to type in the complete url in order to get into the actual forum itself.

That would be a nightmare to do, wouldn't it? Unless adding Forum Links to an existing forum does not destroy the contents of the forum. If it doesn't (so is easily undoable), I think that'd be great as a minor joke though, yeah

EDIT: Would that actually work? Or would typing in the full URL still redirect? Maybe we'd have to hide all the forums and create new fake duplicates for the links.

Actually, never mind - it can be done en-masse without aforementioned problems just by tweaking the templates

We could re-arrange all the forum links - so the EoEO link takes you to FFI-IV, and so on.
Then, it'd look like we're doing something lame and mildly amusing for April Fool's, when the real joke is still festering.
